Change someone’s life forever
You could have the ability to change someone’s life forever. We are in need of an alternative family carer to provide a full time, host family arrangement for a fun loving, 6-year-old boy, Adam. Unfortunately, circumstances with Adams current host family have changed and he is in urgent need of a new home.
Host families can be a family, a couple or a single person. They play a special role in the lives of children with disability by ensuring they are given a safe, stable and nurturing environment to grow, as well as welcoming them to become part of their family.
We require someone to give up their support worker role to care for and love Adam as their own. A significant tax-free reimbursement is provided, with additional supports also provided from his coordinator and the Senses Australia therapy team.
Adam is a happy, affectionate child who really enjoys lots of interactions with others. He loves having his hair stroked and being outdoors in the sunshine. Adam requires high levels of monitoring and support due to his medical care needs and is completely reliant on his carer to have his needs met.
Adam attends school Monday to Friday at Malibu Education Support School in Safety Bay. Ideally, his new family would live in, or close to this area. He also has respite services every second weekend, which he loves attending.
