There are supports now available for people with disability and their families who are affected by the Royal Commission:
- National Counselling and Referral Services is available for people with disability, their families and carers, and anyone affected by the Royal Commission.
- The National Disability Advocacy Program has been extended to include individual advocacy support for people who need extra support to engage with the Royal Commission.
- A National Legal Advisory Service is in the process of growing and developing appropriate legal support. A telephone helpline is currently available – 1800 771 800 between 9.15am and 5.15pm (AEDT). The current focus is on how to make a voluntary submission to the Royal Commission and other procedural information to engage with the Royal Commission.
