Linda Fistonich will travel to Denmark in September 2017 to present her paper ‘From dependence to independence, isolation and participation’ and her experiences living with deafblindness at the Deafblind International (DbI) European Conference on Deafblindness – ‘Touch of closeness – maintaining social connectedness’.

Debbie Karasinski, Senses Australia’s Chief Executive Officer says Senses Australia is very proud of Linda and her achievements.

“Monday, 26 June 2017 to Sunday, 2 July 2017 is Deafblind Awareness Week – an international celebration that coincides with Helen Keller’s birthday on 27 June,” says Debbie.

“Deafblind Awareness Week enables us to create awareness about combined hearing and vision loss and what many people experience living day to day.  This is also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Linda’s achievements.  Linda has been working tirelessly on her paper for the conference and will attend with the support of Angela Wills, one of our deafblind consultants.”
