Working with a SensesWA Therapy Team
At SensesWA, we work in a transdisciplinary manner. This means we collaborate frequently with your other therapy team members to ensure that our service is consistent and complementary.
Our clients’ goals frequently involve input from a range of therapy disciplines.
For example, when selecting an appropriate wheelchair, a physiotherapist will address the client’s body and posture to ensure they are positioned comfortably and functionally.
An Occupational Therapist will work with the client to ensure they can access their environment.
A Speech Pathologist will ensure the individual is able to safely swallow, eat and communicate when seated in their wheelchair.
Working in your Environment
In order to effectively support our client’s to achieve their individual goals, our approach to therapy is to understand the client within the context of their lives. We strive to deliver services within the client’s environment. We frequently visit homes, day care centres, schools, parks and swimming pools.
