Live Your Best Life with Supported Independent Living

Discover Perth SIL Vacancies

Imagine living in a place where you can truly be yourself, surrounded by people who support your independence while sharing in the joys of everyday life. That’s what Supported Independent Living (SIL) at SensesWA is all about. It’s not just about having a roof over your head—it’s about building a life that reflects who you are and what you love.

Meet the Housemates: Jim, Scott, Wayne and Murray

Let me introduce you to Jim, Scott, Wayne and Murray—four housemates who have turned their shared house into a true home. They’ve been living together for years and despite their different interests and hobbies, they’ve created a vibrant, supportive community where everyone gets to pursue their passions.

Jim is the creative soul of the group. His love for art takes him to galleries to see the latest exhibitions and he’s always crafting something beautiful at the DADAA art group. Whether it’s horse riding with Scott, belting out tunes at Sassy Ability Karaoke, or taking solo trips to the zoo and bowling with friends, Jim’s days are filled with activities that bring him joy.

Murray, on the other hand, is a thrill-seeker. If there’s an adventure to be had, Murray’s already on it—whether it’s zip-lining, surfing with Surfability, or just enjoying a good swim. He balances his adventurous side with a love for gardening and the occasional meal out.

Scott is the social butterfly of the house. He’s always up for a chat, a joke, or anything that brings a smile to someone’s face. His love for animals sees him volunteering twice a week at Kanyana animal shelter and like Jim, he’s an avid horse rider. But Scott’s not just about fun and games—he also channels his creativity into woodworking at the Men’s Shed and keeps fit with regular gym sessions.

Wayne is the resident music lover. With his upbeat personality, Wayne is always ready to try something new, whether it’s hitting the gym, going for long beach walks, or immersing himself in the sounds of Boney M and Belinda Carlisle. His passion for music is contagious and it’s a big part of what makes him the outgoing, happy person everyone loves.

These four men show that SIL is more than just accommodation—it’s a lifestyle that lets you embrace who you are, with the support you need to live your best life.
