Each week, Scott looks forward to his time at the Men’s Shed, where he learns woodworking skills and creates items like picture frames, spice racks, and chopping boards for his family and friends.
Recently, Scott earned the ‘Star of the Month’ award for his dedication and effort in learning how to use the machinery safely.
Over the years, Scott has made many new friends and is a valued member of the Vincent Men’s Shed, where he enjoys catching up with them each week over morning tea and sharing stories about their lives.
The Vincent Community Shed is part of the “Men’s Shed Movement,” a place where men can learn new skills and make new friends. It’s an open and friendly spot with the goal of helping people feel included in a safe space where they can work on projects at their own pace.
