This workshop follows on from basic training. In this intermediate key word sign course, you will build your knowledge of key word sign and gesture in familiar, everyday activities, routines, games and songs. You will learn about using strategies and resources to encourage and support the use of sign.
The focus of this course is building your skills in signing accuracy and fluency through individual, small group, and whole group activities. You will revise the signs of the Interactive Vocabulary learned in ‘Getting Started with Key Word Sign’ and learn between 80 -100 news signs.
This workshop is completed in two parts. You will be given access to a self-paced eLearning module (approx 1.5 hours) a few weeks before the face to face practical session on 7th August.
Registrations must close 14th July to allow time to organise e-module access and completion.
